James Bond game 007 First Light sales estimated to have reached an impressive milestone a week after launch
James Bond game 007 First Light has achieved impressive early sales figures following its launch approximately one week prior. According to third-party market analysis from Alinea Analytics’ Rhyss Elliott, the game is estimated to have sold 2.2 million copies worldwide, generating approximately $150 million in revenue.
These early sales make 007 First Light the fastest-selling game in developer IO Interactive’s history. The game achieved 1.5 million copies sold within its first 24 hours of release, demonstrating exceptional market reception.
Sales are distributed across multiple platforms: PlayStation 5 accounts for 55.1% of copies sold, Steam represents 33.1%, and Xbox platforms (console, Windows, and cloud combined) comprise 11.8%. On PS5 specifically, 007 First Light sold 1 million copies during May, making it the platform’s top-selling game by copies that month. Digital sales dominated the PlayStation market, with over 80% of the May copies sold digitally, continuing a trend that has become standard for new releases on the platform in 2026.
The sales figures presented come from third-party market analysis rather than official statements from IO Interactive, though the developer has confirmed the game’s status as its fastest-selling title to date.
