The best quiet gaming keyboard we’ve tried is getting a smaller TKL version this year
Be Quiet! has announced a TKL (tenkeyless) version of its Light Mount gaming keyboard, building on the success of the popular full-size model that earned a 93% review score. The new Light Mount TKL maintains the same quiet performance characteristics of its larger counterpart while reducing overall size to better accommodate smaller desks and gaming setups. This makes it an attractive option for gamers and professionals who prioritize acoustic comfort but work with limited desk space.
The keyboard was officially announced at Computex 2026, a major technology and gaming industry event. The Light Mount TKL is scheduled to launch in August 2026, though Be Quiet! has not yet disclosed official pricing information. TKL keyboards are generally positioned at more accessible price points than their full-size equivalents, though this cost advantage is not always guaranteed in the gaming peripheral market. The original Light Mount established Be Quiet! as a strong contender in the competitive gaming keyboard segment, particularly among users who prioritize acoustics and performance.
The announcement reflects growing market demand for high-quality quiet keyboards in different form factors. With the gaming keyboard market becoming increasingly competitive and segmented, the introduction of a TKL variant demonstrates Be Quiet!’s commitment to expanding its product line and addressing the preferences of gamers and professionals with space-constrained setups.
