DC Comics Selling $120 Supergirl Movie Artwork That Accidentally Features a Star Wars Alien
DC Comics has made an unusual mistake in official promotional merchandise for the upcoming Supergirl movie. A metal print artwork titled “Across the Galaxy,” priced at $119.95 and illustrated by Brazilian comic book artist Bilquis Evely, was released through the DC Comics Shop as part of a curated collection featuring designs inspired by the film.
The artwork prominently features Supergirl (Kara Zor-El) and other characters from the movie, but inadvertently includes Lexo Sooger—an alien character from Star Wars: The Last Jedi deleted scenes. The inclusion of the Star Wars character appears entirely unintentional, creating an odd collision between the two major franchises in official merchandise.
The mistake was quickly spotted by fans on social media, who identified the long-necked alien among the Supergirl cast. While the explanation for how such a mix-up occurred remains unclear, it represents a significant oversight in the approval process for official promotional artwork. The incident highlights how easily reference mistakes or asset mix-ups can slip through in large media productions, even at the final stages of merchandise production and approval.
