Hades 2 Hotfix Addresses Many Issues and Mystery Seed Locations
Supergiant Games has released Hotfix 3 for Hades 2, the second post-launch patch for the roguelike action game. The update went live on PC on June 3 and is confirmed to be coming to Nintendo Switch (including Switch 2) in the near future.
The hotfix primarily focuses on bug fixes and quality of life improvements rather than major content additions. Key fixes include addressing visual and collision problems throughout the game, resolving rare crashes, and fixing numerous interactions between gods. A notable quality of life addition is a new inventory hint system that indicates where players can find Mystery Seeds.
Boss battles have received particular attention in this update. Fixes include resolving an issue where Demeter’s Snow Queen barrier could disappear unexpectedly during the fight against the challenging Unrivaled Typhon encounter. Additional Typhon-related adjustments were also made, including preventing Chronos from performing certain unintended actions during the fight.
Beyond the major fixes, the patch includes numerous smaller tweaks distributed across the game. The patch notes reveal adjustments to Dream Dives mechanics, including changes to how Hermes delivers Shrine of Hermes items before the final encounter.
As a post-launch hotfix rather than a major expansion, the update demonstrates Supergiant Games’ commitment to refining the gameplay experience following Hades 2’s release. The developer’s confirmation that the patch will arrive on console versions shows their dedication to maintaining parity across platforms.
