How to unlock Hercules and Phil in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s latest update, “A Heroes Journey,” introduces Hercules and Phil from Disney’s Hercules to the game. Unlike the recent addition of Pocahontas, unlocking this character pair requires a more involved progression system.
Players must first unlock the Hercules realm within the Dream Castle for an investment of 11,000 Dreamlight—a substantial amount of in-game currency that grants access to an entirely new realm alongside character unlock opportunities. Once the realm is unlocked, players automatically begin the first questline titled “Moonlighting as a Hero,” which marks the start of five total quests required to successfully recruit both Hercules and Phil to their valley.
The multi-quest structure provides extended engagement with the update and creates a clear progression pathway for character acquisition. By tying character unlocks to quest chains and new realm exploration, Disney Dreamlight Valley maintains player engagement and delivers meaningful progression goals beyond simple character acquisition. This update reflects the game’s ongoing effort to expand its roster of Disney and affiliated characters while keeping unlock mechanics varied and fresh for the player base.
