Mark Waid is co-writing a Justice League Unlimited TTRPG

Mark Waid, a legendary figure in comics who has been writing for DC Comics since 1985, is co-writing Justice League Unlimited: The Roleplaying Game. The official TTRPG, developed by D20 Culture, will begin its crowdfunding campaign in July.

The game enables players to either control established DC Comics heroes or create their own original characters, choosing from a wide variety of superpowers and character backgrounds. D20 Culture CEO Peterson Rodrigues approached Waid specifically for his expertise, seeking to understand the current state of the DC universe and incorporate that knowledge into the game’s design.

Waid, best known for the 1996 graphic novel Kingdom Come and his significant contributions to DC’s most prominent heroes, expressed enthusiasm for the project. He shared that his interest in tabletop role-playing games extends back to his college days. For Waid, this TTRPG represents yet another opportunity to share the extensive knowledge of the DC universe he has accumulated throughout his distinguished career in comics.
