Pokémon Champions is coming to mobile on June 17

Hit Nintendo Switch game Pokémon Champions is launching on mobile platforms—iOS and Android—on June 17, expanding its reach beyond Nintendo hardware. Pre-orders are now available on the App Store and Play Store, following the game’s original release in April for Switch and Switch 2.

The free-to-play title offers cross-progression capabilities, allowing players with existing accounts to link their Nintendo accounts and seamlessly continue their progress on mobile devices. This feature aims to facilitate a smooth transition for existing players while potentially attracting a broader audience through mobile accessibility.

Pokémon Champions employs a freemium monetization model, with optional purchases including a premium battle pass ($9.99), a one-month membership ($4.99), and an annual membership subscription ($49.99). The game is substantial at 2.2GB in size.

Developed by first-party studio The Pokémon Works and published by The Pokémon Company, the mobile version represents a significant platform expansion for the competitive battling title. This move aligns with the broader industry trend of bringing popular console games to mobile audiences to maximize player reach and monetization opportunities.
