Thresh and Senna Revealed for 2XKO With June 9 Release

Riot Games has announced the addition of Senna and Thresh to its 2v2 fighting game 2XKO, with both characters releasing on June 9. The announcement brings the game’s total roster to 15 playable fighters as part of Riot’s commitment to add five new fighters throughout 2026—following the earlier releases of Caitlyn and Akali.

Both characters are drawn from the League of Legends universe, where they share a complex and bitter history. However, in 2XKO’s team-based fighting game format, players will be able to deploy them as teammates despite their lore-driven rivalry.

Thresh brings his distinctive League of Legends abilities to the fighting game, translating his hook-based mechanics for long-range enemy engagement. The character can also summon his teammates to his lantern’s location, creating tactical positioning opportunities in 2v2 matches.

Riot has confirmed that both Senna and Thresh will be available for competitive play at 2XKO EVO 2026, the premier event in the fighting game community’s calendar. This marks another milestone in establishing 2XKO as a viable competitive esports title, with the expanding character roster supporting tournament viability.

The June 9 release represents continued momentum for 2XKO as Riot works toward fulfilling its 2026 character roadmap.
