KRIMZ Leaves Fnatic Counter-Strike Roster After 12 Years

Swedish Counter-Strike 2 legend Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson has departed from Fnatic after an extended tenure with the organization. Originally joining in 2014, KRIMZ leaves after 12 years across two separate stints, representing one of esports’ most enduring professional relationships.

KRIMZ accumulated 4,288 days with Fnatic, narrowly missing the record for longest consecutive tenure with a single team due to a brief two-month stint with GODSENT in 2016. His departure marks a significant transition for both the veteran player and the historic esports organization.

Following his exit, Fnatic’s Counter-Strike 2 roster is now composed entirely of Ukrainian players: Rodyon “fear” Smyk, Dmytro “jambo” Semera, Mykyta “jackasmo” Skyba, and Viktor “Br4tkO” Kondratets. The organization is expected to continue this regional trend by recruiting an additional Ukrainian player to complete the roster.

The move signals a notable shift in Fnatic’s CS2 direction as the organization pivots toward an all-Ukrainian lineup. KRIMZ shared an emotional message on social media following the announcement, reflecting on his departure after spending the majority of his professional esports career with the organization.
