Palworld 1.0 Is Launching Sooner Than You Expect

Palworld, the Pokemon-inspired creature-collecting game that has dominated early access since January 2024, will finally launch its full 1.0 version on July 10, 2026. Developer Pocketpair announced the release date during Summer Game Fest 2026, marking the end of the game’s extended early access period across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

Since its January 2024 debut on PC and Xbox, Palworld has become a massive commercial and cultural success, breaking multiple records. The game subsequently expanded to PS5 in September 2024. In September 2025, Pocketpair signaled the upcoming transition, announcing that development would shift away from new content toward finalization and polish for the 1.0 release.

While specific details about the full release remain limited, Pocketpair released a cinematic trailer featuring new gameplay elements. The trailer showcased a new Pal capable of transforming into a sword, as well as encounters with a giant, flying mythical creature that opens access to a mysterious tree. These additions hint at expanded late-game content and boss encounters planned for the full version.

To capitalize on the announcement, Pocketpair is currently offering Palworld at a 25% discount on Steam, reducing the price to $22.50. The developer has previously declined to rule out the possibility of a Palworld 2.0, though such plans remain speculative at this time.
