Paramount unveils new ‘unified’ Paramount Games Studio
Paramount has unveiled Paramount Games Studio, a newly unified game development division that consolidates all existing Paramount and Skydance gaming operations. The division brings together Skydance Interactive and Skydance New Media under one organizational umbrella, signaling a strategic shift in how the company approaches gaming as a core business pillar rather than an ancillary extension of its media operations.
The studio is led by president Tony Driscoll, formerly of Epic Games and Warner Bros., alongside executive vice president Dan Prigg (previously at Discovery and Scopely), and senior vice presidents overseeing creative production, marketing, business development, and engineering. This leadership structure positions the gaming division as a dedicated business unit within Paramount’s portfolio.
Paramount Games Studio announced its first AAA title during Summer Game Fest 2026 on June 5, though specific details remain undisclosed. The studio is continuing development on previously announced projects, including Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra and an untitled Star Wars game developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm and creative director Amy Hennig.
The consolidation demonstrates Paramount’s commitment to gaming as a major revenue stream, enabling the company to leverage its extensive intellectual property portfolio—including Marvel and Star Wars franchises—alongside original gaming projects.
