Sebulba and a whole bunch of other Glup Shittos appear in the first story trailer for Star Wars: Galactic Racer
Star Wars: Galactic Racer debuted its first story trailer at Summer Game Fest, showcasing the game’s narrative alongside its arcade racing gameplay. The title is being positioned as a spiritual successor to aggressive arcade racers like Burnout and WipEout, featuring takedown mechanics that allow players to crash opponents off the track—a gameplay style largely absent from racing games in recent years.
The story follows Shade, a mysterious new racing contestant enlisted by the Galactic League’s founder to challenge Kestar Bool, the domineering villain controlling the league. Players will be aided by Hibi, an energetic engineer, and a legendary podracer character throughout their campaign. The trailer also features familiar Star Wars characters, including Sebulba and various other franchise characters.
The game blends high-speed, contact-heavy arcade racing with the Star Wars universe, combining action-oriented gameplay with franchise storytelling. It represents a return to the arcade racing genre that was popular in the early 2000s, with a focus on destructive, competitive racing rather than simulation-style gameplay.
