Star Wars Zero Company, the tactics game from veteran XCOM devs, confirms August launch and Anakin Skywalker cameo
Star Wars Zero Company is a single-player turn-based tactics game developed by Bit Reactor, a new studio formed by veteran XCOM developers. The game was officially confirmed at Summer Game Fest 2026 to launch on August 27, 2026, across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms.
Set during Star Wars’ Clone Wars era, the game follows Hawks, a former Republic officer who leads Zero Company—a group of unconventional mercenaries from across the galaxy hired for a critical operation. The story will notably feature Anakin Skywalker as a story character.
Bit Reactor has demonstrated strong command of Star Wars aesthetics and fan service, with the latest gameplay trailer showcasing a solid balance between combat mechanics and cinematic presentation. The trailer also revealed expanded options for custom character creation compared to the game’s initial announcement.
Star Wars Zero Company will be available in two editions: a standard version for $50 and a Deluxe Edition at $60. The August 27 release date positions the game strategically ahead of September’s traditionally crowded release schedule.
