Tifa Is Coming To Street Fighter 6’s Season 4 Roster

Street Fighter 6 Season 4 was officially announced at Summer Game Fest 2026, featuring a notable Final Fantasy crossover with the inclusion of Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix’s Naoki Hamaguchi appeared on stage to confirm that Tifa will be “redesigned as Tifa the Street Fighter,” with her kit incorporating Materia mechanics from the Final Fantasy universe.

The Season 4 roster marks a significant departure for Capcom’s fighting game, as it will be the first season containing no returning characters from the series. Joining Tifa are three additional fighters: two brand-new characters to Street Fighter named Yasmine and Arjun, and Bosch—a returning character from SF6’s World Tour mode where he served as the player-character’s rival.

The announcement comes after weeks of speculation following leaked information from reliable leaker Rnk_Clan, which correctly identified Tifa as part of the Year 4 pass lineup. While no gameplay footage was revealed, the character will be based on Tifa’s updated design from the Final Fantasy VII Remake series.

The Season 4 roster will roll out over several months, with Yasmine releasing first on August 3rd, followed by Arjun in Autumn 2026, Tifa in Early 2027, and Bosch in Spring 2027. Character Pass and Ultimate Character Pass pre-orders are scheduled to become available.

This crossover reflects Square Enix’s willingness to expand its character licensing beyond its own titles, building on previous collaborations such as Noctis’s appearance in Tekken 7 and Clive Rosfield’s inclusion in Tekken 8. The partnership demonstrates continued collaboration between Capcom and Square Enix in bringing diverse characters to the fighting game community.
