Stuntman: Hollywood Wasn’t Allowed to Show Jurassic Park in Reveal Trailer
Saber Interactive revealed Stuntman: Hollywood during a recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, marking the franchise’s return nearly two decades after its last installment. The new game features high-intensity stunts inspired by various film properties and includes a collaboration with the Jurassic Park franchise.
However, despite Jurassic Park being a featured collaboration in Stuntman: Hollywood, the developers were unable to showcase it in the official reveal trailer. According to a report by Stephen Totilo on GameFile, Saber CEO Matt Karch disclosed that licensing restrictions prevented the studio from displaying Jurassic Park content during the State of Play announcement.
The reasons for these contractual limitations were not fully detailed in the available reports, but such restrictions are common in gaming collaborations where licensing agreements specify how intellectual property can be revealed and promoted. The trailer that was shown focused on other film-inspired stunts from the game’s various partnerships instead.
This marks a significant revival for the Stuntman franchise, which has been dormant since the mid-2000s. The new game aims to capture the original series’ spirit with modern graphics and gameplay while expanding its roster of licensed film properties and stunt sequences.
