007 First Light “Year One” Roadmap Revealed, Reconfirms Switch 2 Release Window
IO Interactive has confirmed that 007: First Light is still on track to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 in Summer 2026, bringing the full Bond experience to Nintendo’s new console in both handheld and docked modes.
The studio unveiled its Year One content roadmap at Summer Game Fest 2026, detailing planned updates and expansions for the coming months. A new mission called “Bawma Will Return” is scheduled to arrive later in 2026, with actor Lenny Kravitz returning to reprise his in-game role. The roadmap also includes enhancements to Tac Sim with new challenges and upgrades.
PC players will benefit from a significant visual upgrade featuring path tracing technology, though the feature requires an NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU. This addition demonstrates IO Interactive’s focus on delivering enhanced graphics across platforms.
While specific release dates for individual content updates have not yet been announced, the roadmap provides a framework for the game’s first year of post-launch support. IO Interactive noted that featured assignments may be subject to reassignment or delays. Additional in-game content is also planned alongside the confirmed updates.
