Citizen Sleeper 1 and 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this month
Citizen Sleeper and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector are coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on June 25, 2026, as announced by developer Gareth Damian Martin during the Story Rich Showcase. Players who already own either game on the original Switch will receive free upgrades to the Switch 2 editions.
The original Citizen Sleeper launched on Switch in 2022, with its sequel following in 2025. Both titles have been well-received by players and critics, with Citizen Sleeper 2 recognized as one of the year’s best games. The free upgrade policy makes the Switch 2 versions immediately accessible to existing fans, removing any barrier to replaying the games on the new hardware.
Pre-orders for both Switch 2 editions opened on the Nintendo eShop following the announcement. This addition continues the trend of popular indie titles receiving optimized versions for Nintendo’s new console during its launch window.
