Godzilla Is Apparently Not Afraid Of GTA 6

Atari is reportedly reviving Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee with a remaster arriving November 3, 2026, just ahead of Rockstar’s highly anticipated GTA 6 launch on November 19. The remastered version of the 2002 GameCube game will come to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, with original developer Pipeworks handling production. The remaster will feature modernized graphics, a new online multiplayer mode, and additional updates.

The timing of the Godzilla remaster is notable given widespread industry consensus that GTA 6 will dominate the November release calendar. Most major publishers have strategically avoided scheduling launches near Rockstar’s flagship title, resulting in an unusually quiet month for major game releases. Atari’s decision to launch just two weeks before GTA 6 suggests the publisher believes the monster-fighting remaster can find an audience despite the significant competition.

The Godzilla remaster follows the original game’s legacy from the early 2000s, when sequel Godzilla: Save the Earth launched in 2004. While the full extent of publisher interest in the November window remains unclear, reports suggest Atari may not be the only company willing to challenge GTA 6’s market dominance.
