Hitman Classic Trilogy Remasters Are Coming, See The Improved Graphics

IO Interactive and Saber Interactive have announced the Hitman Classic Trilogy Remastered, a comprehensive remaster collection of the franchise’s original three titles. The bundle includes Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, and Hitman: Contracts—the games that established the foundation for one of gaming’s most acclaimed stealth franchises.

The remaster was unveiled during IO Interactive’s recent showcase and is scheduled for release in 2027 across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, though Nintendo Switch will not receive the port. The three games have been “painstakingly rebuilt” for modern hardware with significant visual enhancements including upgraded character models, enhanced environments, and high-resolution textures throughout.

A notable feature of the remaster is the ability to toggle between the newly enhanced graphics and the classic original visuals, allowing players to experience either version. The collection also introduces a new Photo Mode, enabling players to capture and customize screenshots from the games.

The announcement comes as IO Interactive experiences momentum from its recent James Bond title, 007 First Light, which has exceeded sales expectations. By revisiting and modernizing these classic titles, the developer is refreshing some of the games that helped establish the studio’s reputation. Saber Interactive, known for its previous remaster work on the Tomb Raider I-III collection, is handling development of the Hitman trilogy remaster.
