Snipperclips Dev Is Bringing Its Murder Mystery Sequel To Switch 1 & 2 Next Month
SFB Games, developer of Snipperclips and Crow Country, has announced The Mermaid’s Mask, a new murder mystery game coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on July 16th. The title is a sequel to the studio’s 2019 game Tangle Tower.
The Mermaid’s Mask continues the series’ tradition of mystery-solving gameplay, featuring players controlling characters Grimoire and Sally as they investigate a classic locked-room murder case. The scenario involves a deceased submarine captain, a mysterious cauldron, and multiple suspects to interrogate to solve the case.
The game distinguishes itself through striking hand-drawn visuals that carry forward the aesthetic established in its predecessor. While the puzzle design remains consistent with Tangle Tower’s style, the new title introduces a notable enhancement: all clues are now rendered in full 3D, adding an extra dimension to the gameplay experience.
The announcement was made during the SGF Story Rich Showcase. The game will be available on the Nintendo eShop for both current-generation Switch consoles and the upcoming Switch 2.
