Monster Hunter Wilds confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2

Capcom has officially confirmed that Monster Hunter Wilds will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, ending months of speculation from dataminers and fans. The announcement was made on June 5 via the company’s social media channels, though no release date has been provided yet. Capcom stated it will share “more info, including the release date, in the future.”

The confirmation comes after persistent rumors throughout early 2025. In January, dataminers uncovered graphics presets for the Switch 2 version, revealing the game would run at 30 FPS with DLSS enabled and at 1080p when docked, offering better fidelity than the PC version’s ‘very low’ graphics preset.

In related Monster Hunter news, Capcom also detailed plans for Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a massive expansion/DLC arriving next year across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The expansion will introduce Skybound Eyrie, a brand-new sky-themed region for players to explore.
