All Confirmed & Rumored Games For XBOX Games Showcase 2026
Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will take place on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, serving as the headline gaming event for the platform this year. The event will be live-streamed and promises “first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles” from both Xbox Game Studios and third-party partners, ranging from major franchises to indie titles.
Notably, the showcase will be the first under Asha Sharma, who became the CEO of Microsoft Gaming in February 2026, succeeding longtime Xbox head Phil Spencer. However, the company has indicated that Project Helix, Xbox’s next-generation console, will not receive significant attention at the event—content officer Matt Booty confirmed the focus will remain on current and near-term software releases.
The showcase is structured as a two-part presentation. Following the main Xbox Games Showcase, a dedicated “Direct” presentation will dive deep into Gears of War: E-Day, a prequel to the original Gears of War franchise developed by The Coalition. The Gears of War segment underscores how much Xbox is banking on this new entry in the iconic series.
Attendees and viewers can expect updates on previously announced titles, including Halo: Campaign Evolved and Fable, alongside potential new announcements. The event represents a crucial opportunity for Xbox to showcase its 2026 software lineup and demonstrate momentum under new leadership.
