Gears Of War: E-Day Open Beta: Start Dates And How To Get In Early
Microsoft announced that Gears of War: E-Day will receive an open beta for its multiplayer component starting August 6, with multiple beta weekends planned throughout the month. The confirmation came during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase presentation, which primarily focused on showcasing the game’s single-player content.
The full game launches on October 6 for Xbox Series X|S and PC. A planned PlayStation 5 version has been cancelled as part of Microsoft’s strategic shift toward Xbox platform exclusivity.
During the showcase, Microsoft revealed additional details about the game’s design. Gears of War: E-Day will explore the origin story of the iconic Lancer weapon, famous for its integrated chainsaw functionality. The game will also feature new mobility mechanics, expanding beyond the traditional Gears of War gameplay formula.
The multiplayer beta offers players an early opportunity to experience the online components before the full release. Further details about multiplayer features are expected to be announced at a later date.
