See 5 New Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes Card Reveals | IGN Live 2026
At IGN Live 2026, Magic: The Gathering and Marvel unveiled five new cards for the upcoming Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes set, launching later in June. Mark Rosewater from Wizards of the Coast and Jesse Falcon from Marvel showcased the cards during the event.
The revealed cards feature Marvel characters aligned with Magic’s color system. A white Mythic card depicts Hyperion, Supreme Hero, the leader of Marvel’s Squadron Supreme, designed to appeal to dedicated Marvel Comics fans. A blue Mythic card represents Immortus, Master of Eternity, drawing from the Kang Dynasty storyline.
Additional cards in other colors were also revealed but not detailed in the available materials. The crossover represents Magic’s continued strategy of collaborating with major entertainment properties, integrating iconic Marvel characters into Magic’s established gameplay mechanics and color pie system. The cards are designed to capture the essence of their Marvel counterparts while maintaining balance within the trading card game’s competitive and casual formats.
Full details and gameplay discussions were featured during the IGN Live panel, where both creators elaborated on the design philosophy behind merging these two franchises.
