Persona 4 Revival launches into an already-stacked February 2027, will be on Xbox Game Pass on Day One
Persona 4 Revival has been officially revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026, with a confirmed release date of February 18, 2027. The remake will launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with the game arriving on Xbox Game Pass on Day One.
Following the success of Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Revival is a ground-up reimagining of the original PS3 RPG, rebuilt using Unreal Engine. The game features significantly updated visuals and refined turn-based combat while maintaining the core story and characters of the original. New gameplay additions include action-based parry mechanics that allow players to catch enemies off-guard during field encounters, along with super abilities for party members reminiscent of Persona 3 Reload.
The remake incorporates content from Persona 4 Golden, Atlus’s expanded version of the original, including the extra scenario and character Marie. Studio director Kazuhisa Wada has emphasized that the game aims to be “enjoyable in a new and different way” rather than simply adding more content, underscoring the reimagining approach.
The announcement generated significant community interest, with early viewership data showing Persona 6’s announcement trailer garnered 146,000 views and Persona 4 Revival’s trailer reached 98,000 views—outpacing other major showcase announcements. Pre-orders are now available.
