ReVamp, a castle defense roguelike where you command the armies of the dead for your mistress, is entering playtests soon

ReVamp, a new castle defense roguelike from Digital Sun (developers of Moonlighter), is entering playtests soon. The game was showcased at The PC Gaming Show and invites players to take on the role of a vampire lord managing their castle domain.

ReVamp combines multiple genres and mechanics, blending castle defense gameplay with roguelike elements and property management simulation. Players command armies of the undead while making strategic decisions about castle layout and room placement, drawing inspiration from metroidvania-style design to create challenges for would-be vampire hunters. The game humorously frames the experience through the administrative and financial pressures of maintaining a vampire castle, including managing property taxes.

With its mix of strategic tower defense, roguelike progression, and management simulation, ReVamp targets players interested in offbeat strategy games with dark fantasy themes. The announcement at The PC Gaming Show indicates the game is approaching a more public development phase. Interested players can wishlist the game on Steam through The PC Gaming Show’s official Steam page, which features all titles showcased at the event.
