Valor Mortis Announced for Xbox Game Pass, Releases September 2026
Valor Mortis, a first-person action soulslike developed by One More Level (creators of Ghostrunner), has been officially announced for Xbox Game Pass with a September 2026 release date. The announcement was made at the Xbox Showcase, where developers revealed a new trailer for the game.
The title casts players as William, a former soldier of Napoleon’s Grande Armée who has been resurrected with supernatural powers following his death in battle. The European continent he awakens to is drastically changed, now ravaged by a mysterious plague that has corrupted William with its power. Players must wield these supernatural abilities, battle horrifying monsters, and unravel a conspiracy threatening all of humanity.
Valor Mortis is also confirmed for PS5, releasing on September 24th, 2026. The game arrives during an exceptionally crowded month for PlayStation, with multiple major releases scheduled the same day, including Control Resonant, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Hot Wheels: Infinite Rush.
