Blood Message’s Melee Combat Is Much More Impressive Than The Initial Trailer
Blood Message, NetEase’s AAA action title developed by 24 Entertainment Lin’an, has made a stronger impression with new extended gameplay footage that better showcases its melee combat mechanics than the game’s Summer Game Fest debut trailer. The follow-up video reveals the cinematic action design more effectively, displaying fluid combat sequences that highlight the developer’s vision for the title.
Set in 9th-century Asia during the Shazhou uprising, the game follows Pei Changguan, a messenger tasked with delivering news of a rebellion to Chang’an, the capital of the Tang Empire. The newly released gameplay footage features Pei Changguan alongside his brother Arrati as they discover atrocities committed by Tubo soldiers who are actively searching the region.
The extended look demonstrates developer 24 Entertainment Lin’an’s emphasis on delivering visually impressive and responsive melee combat that appears to be a core element of the Blood Message experience. The improved presentation in this latest video provides a more compelling showcase of the game’s action mechanics and cinematic presentation than the initial Summer Game Fest reveal.
