Carcass Clad, the Mouthwashing team’s next game, is a horrifying co-op tank game, announced at the PC Gaming Show
Wrong Organ, the developer behind the 2024 indie horror hit Mouthwashing, has unveiled their next project: Carcass Clad. Announced at the PC Gaming Show, the game represents a significant departure from the studio’s debut, trading first-person survival horror for a three-player cooperative tank combat experience.
Carcass Clad places players in control of a cramped tank unit navigating a hostile, ruined cityscape. The game features three distinct roles—commander Kanerva, gunner Erkki, and driver Taisto—each responsible for their station aboard the Yksiö tank. Players must coordinate to survive their trek through war-torn territory.
The game maintains Wrong Organ’s horror sensibilities through its grotesque aesthetic. The tank itself is notably “clad in corpses,” with many still moving and emitting haunting sounds, establishing the game’s deeply unsettling atmosphere. This macabre design choice underscores the claustrophobic, dark tone evident in the reveal trailer, which showcases tense tank operations amid a nightmarish environment.
Carcass Clad is currently available to wishlist on Steam, though Wrong Organ has not announced a release date. The shift from Mouthwashing’s claustrophobic individual survival narrative to a cooperative team-based military scenario demonstrates the studio’s willingness to experiment with genre conventions while maintaining their distinctive horror-focused design philosophy.
