Esports World Cup Last Chance Qualifiers Details Confirmed
The Esports World Cup 2026, scheduled to take place in Paris, France within the next month, is preparing for its final stage of competitor selection through Last Chance Qualifiers. The tournament will feature 25 competitions across 24 different gaming titles, representing one of the largest esports events of the year.
The qualification process has been extensive, spanning over 230 tournaments worldwide with participation from more than 350,000 competitors. With most teams’ spots now locked in, the Last Chance Qualifiers will determine the final participants in eight games: Counter-Strike 2, EA FC, Rocket League, TEKKEN 8, Chess, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, and Street Fighter 6.
The remaining opportunities are limited, with 37 individual player slots and six club (team) slots still available across the final qualifiers. This creates a high-stakes competitive environment for aspiring esports professionals and teams seeking to secure their place at one of the year’s most prestigious tournaments. The Paris venue and diverse selection of titles demonstrate the breadth of competitive gaming, spanning first-person shooters, fighting games, sports simulations, and traditional games like chess.
