Nintendo Direct This Week: What’s Expected from the June 9th Stream?

Nintendo has officially announced its next Nintendo Direct presentation, scheduled for June 9, 2026, at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM BST. The main event will run approximately 50 minutes, followed immediately by a 95-minute Nintendo Treehouse: Live session showcasing gameplay from select featured titles.

This Direct marks a significant moment for Nintendo, representing the company’s first complete showcase since September 2025. The presentation will highlight upcoming games for both Nintendo Switch and the Switch 2, with particular focus on titles releasing during the second half of 2026.

While Nintendo has not officially announced which titles will appear, considerable speculation surrounds potential reveals. Rumors suggest the company may unveil a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, along with announcements for new Mario or Wario titles. Other rumored entries include Fire Emblem: Fate’s Weave and FromSoftware’s The Duskbloods, with additional speculation about footage from the upcoming live-action Zelda movie adaptation. Confirmed upcoming releases include Star Fox and various third-party titles.

The timing follows the industry’s major annual showcase season, including presentations from PlayStation, Xbox, and Summer Game Fest. The Direct will be available on Nintendo’s YouTube channel and the Nintendo Today app, with gaming media providing live coverage of all announcements.
