Guide: These 7+ PS5 Games Are Coming Out This Week (8th-14th June)
This week brings a modest selection of PlayStation 5 releases as the gaming industry enters its summer lull. According to push-square, there are 7+ games coming this week, though the publication notes there isn’t much of significant arriving during this slower period of the calendar.
Among the announced titles is NBA The Run, launching June 9th on PS5. Described as a fast-paced 3v3 street basketball game, it draws inspiration from the classic NBA Street series that appeared on PlayStation 2, suggesting an arcade-style approach to the sport with online multiplayer gameplay.
Also arriving this week is Solarpunk, releasing June 8th as a relaxed survival and crafting sandbox game. Developed by a small two-person team, Solarpunk emphasizes creative gameplay and customization. Players can construct buildings, decorate their homes with a large variety of furniture and decorative objects, grow and prepare food, craft gadgets and tools, and explore distant islands using their own airship. The game supports both solo play and cooperative multiplayer, allowing friends to work together on shared islands.
The publication suggests NBA The Run may be the most notable release of the week for players interested in sports games, particularly those nostalgic for the PS2-era NBA Street franchise. Otherwise, this week represents the typical summer slowdown in major game releases.
