Date Everything wins two accolades at The Gayming Awards 2026
The Gayming Awards 2026 celebrated LGBTQ+ representation in gaming and entertainment, with the ceremony held on June 8 at The Vermont Hollywood theatre in Los Angeles. The annual event recognized outstanding achievements across 14 categories spanning video games, television shows, developers, and content creators—all of whom “championed diversity and inclusivity globally throughout 2025.”
Sassy Chap Games’ dating simulation Date Everything emerged as a standout winner, capturing both the Best LGBTQ+ Indie Game award and the Gayming Fan Favourite Award. The dual recognition underscores the game’s strong appeal to both critical judges and the broader LGBTQ+ gaming community.
South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, received the ceremony’s most prestigious honor—Game of the Year. Additionally, Jennifer English, voice actor for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, was honored with the LGBTQ+ Voice Actor of the Year award.
The 2026 ceremony expanded its recognition efforts by introducing the LGBTQ+ Content Creator Superstar Award, a new category reflecting the growing prominence of LGBTQ+ content creators within gaming and entertainment sectors.
