Dengeki Daisy anime officially confirmed by Aniplex and Studio Deen with 2027 release
Aniplex, the anime division of Sony, has officially announced an anime adaptation of Dengeki Daisy, the long-running shojo manga by Kyousuke Motomi. The adaptation will be produced by Studio DEEN, known for titles including Fate/Stay Night, Higurashi When They Cry, and Ranma ½. The announcement came on June 9 following days of social media speculation, with the anime scheduled to premiere in 2027.
The original manga ran for 16 volumes between 2007 and 2013 in Shogakukan’s Betsucomi imprint. Dengeki Daisy follows Teru Kurebayashi, a high school student who becomes protected by a mysterious figure known as “Daisy.” The series represents a notable return for Aniplex, adapting a manga that has been dormant from anime adaptation for nearly two decades.
Studio DEEN’s involvement marks a significant commitment to the project, as the studio has previously handled several well-regarded series across multiple genres. The 2027 release date suggests the production is still in early stages, providing the studio ample time for development and animation work.
