Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition Slashes Its Way Onto Switch 2 This Month
Capcom has announced that Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 23, 2026, following the company’s recent Nintendo Direct showcase. The port promises to deliver the series’ signature fast-paced action gameplay at 60 frames per second in both docked and handheld modes.
Players will be able to control four playable characters—Dante, Vergil, Nero, and V—each with distinct combat mechanics as they battle hordes of demons. The Switch 2 version includes additional content beyond the base game, including extra character color options, exclusive battle tracks, and special devil-breaker weapons designed for Nero’s arsenal.
This marks another significant third-party title arriving on Nintendo’s new hardware, with Capcom leveraging the Switch 2’s enhanced processing power to maintain the game’s demanding performance requirements. The inclusion of Vergil as a playable character—established as Dante’s longtime rival and a fan-favorite—adds to the appeal for both returning fans and newcomers to the Devil May Cry franchise.
