DK Challenge Revealed For Nintendo Switch Online On Switch 2
Nintendo announced DK Challenge, a new limited-time event for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers launching today on Switch 2. The event runs until September 1st and allows players to complete a series of challenges drawn from across the Donkey Kong franchise.
Accessed through the Nintendo Switch Online app on the Switch 2 home screen, DK Challenge features mini-challenges from various Donkey Kong titles, spanning from classic Donkey Kong Country games to the Switch 2 exclusive Donkey Kong Bananza. Tasks range from simple beginner-level challenges to more difficult ones, with examples including mine-cart segments from Donkey Kong Country and barrel-based platforming sections. Players who successfully complete challenges earn digital challenge cards as rewards.
The event celebrates Nintendo’s Donkey Kong library by combining challenges across different eras and styles of the franchise, similar to how Super Mario Maker blends multiple Mario game styles. In related news, Donkey Kong Bananza’s Emerald Rush DLC is receiving new limited-time Mario-themed content to coincide with the DK Challenge event. As a limited-time promotion, DK Challenge is available only to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers through September 1st.
