Dragon’s Dogma 2 getting Nintendo Switch 2 port and Dark Arisen DLC later this year

Capcom has announced Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, a major expansion for the 2024 action RPG launching October 9, 2026. The expansion introduces Norgan, a new snowy mountainous region featuring new tales, encounters, and challenging enemies like ice giants. A new appraisal system allows players to unlock additional weapons, armor, and skills from collected spoils.

The expansion will be available across multiple platforms. On Nintendo Switch 2, the full game with Dark Arisen included will launch October 9th, marking a significant multiplatform push for Capcom. Existing players on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC will receive the expansion as DLC.

In preparation for the expansion’s release, Capcom is deploying two major patches. Title Update 3.1 released June 10, 2026, featuring quality-of-life improvements including fast travel adjustments, UI enhancements, pawn system refinements, and reward adjustments. A second major update is scheduled for late August. Additionally, the base game will receive a permanent price discount starting June 24, 2026, while certain previously controversial consumable item DLC packs will be discontinued.

These updates and the expansion announcement demonstrate Capcom’s continued commitment to supporting the game approximately two years after its initial launch.
