The Vampire Survivors Team Found The Perfect Anime To Adapt
Poncle, the developer behind the indie hit Vampire Survivors, announced Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct. The new game merges the fast-paced bullet-heaven gameplay that made Vampire Survivors a global sensation with the dark, supernatural universe of the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen.
In Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton, players control their favorite sorcerers from the series as they battle Cursed Spirits—entities born from humanity’s fears and anxieties. The game supports both single-player and multiplayer modes, with the multiplayer featuring up to eight players competing in a battle royale format. As players defeat enemies, they accumulate points and power up. When the clock runs out, the top two contenders face off in a one-on-one duel to determine the ultimate survivor.
A distinctive feature inspired by the source material allows players to add custom rules once they’ve gathered 100 points, adding strategic depth and replayability. This marks Poncle’s first official anime collaboration and represents a notable departure from traditional anime game adaptations, which typically focus on arena fighters and action brawlers. Instead, Poncle applies its signature gameplay formula to create a unique experience that blends both properties’ core identities.
