KTC M27T6S review
PC Gamer has published a review of the KTC M27T6S, a budget-priced gaming monitor featuring mini-LED technology with full-array local dimming. The reviewer approached the evaluation with considerable skepticism toward mini-LED displays and local dimming implementations, having found previous LCD panels with this technology unconvincing compared to the latest OLED gaming monitors.
Despite these reservations, the reviewer was notably impressed by the KTC M27T6S’s execution. The monitor performs its dimming-zone functionality “remarkably well,” suggesting it may challenge the reviewer’s previous skepticism toward mini-LED technology. This is significant given the reviewer’s self-described preference for OLED displays and documented reservations about local dimming solutions.
The review evaluates whether the KTC M27T6S’s strong performance in contrast control and dimming technology can make a compelling case for mini-LED gaming monitors in a market increasingly dominated by OLED alternatives. As a budget-priced option, the monitor positions itself as an accessible entry point for gamers seeking advanced display technology without premium OLED pricing.
