We got our eyes and noses on a new PC case with a magnetic essential oils diffuser to make your gaming den smell less like a gaming den
The Montech Ten Wood is a new PC case that combines traditional gaming setups with ambient scent diffusion. Unveiled at this year’s Computex, the case features wooden detailing and introduces an innovative feature: a magnetic wooden block positioned above the exhaust fans that can hold essential oils or other scented materials.
The concept is straightforward—place essential oils or another scented substance in the magnetic block, and the PC’s exhaust airflow distributes the aroma throughout the room. This addresses a practical concern for gaming enthusiasts: making their gaming spaces smell better while they’re focused on their hobby.
The case design includes wooden elements as part of its aesthetic, though reviewers note it contains surprisingly little actual wood despite its “Ten Wood” name. The magnetic block design allows for easy removal and replacement, making it practical for users who want to change scents or remove the feature entirely.
The unveiling comes during Computex, an annual technology conference that showcases innovative PC hardware and accessories. Despite ongoing industry challenges, including a current memory crisis affecting the sector, the event continued to deliver unique and creative case designs this year.
The Montech Ten Wood represents a niche but clever approach to PC case design, merging functionality with lifestyle enhancement. Rather than focusing solely on cooling efficiency or cable management, it acknowledges that gamers spend extended periods in their gaming spaces and may appreciate environmental comfort beyond temperature control.
