Round Up: All the PS5 Reveals from the Nintendo Direct for June 2026
Nintendo concluded its annual summer Direct presentation with several notable PlayStation 5 announcements, marking a significant part of the broader gaming industry event calendar. The presentation featured prominently reveals from Square Enix, one of the gaming industry’s largest publishers.
Among the major PS5 announcements was a new gameplay trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4, the upcoming entry in the long-running crossover franchise between Square Enix and Disney. The trailer provided the first substantial look at PS5 gameplay for the anticipated title.
Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 also received significant news during the presentation. The action RPG will receive a substantial expansion titled Dark Arisen, scheduled to release on PS5 in October 2026. Dark Arisen is being positioned as a major content addition to the game. In tandem with the expansion announcement, Capcom confirmed that multiple significant patches are in development to enhance and improve the base Dragon’s Dogma 2 experience prior to the expansion’s arrival.
These announcements demonstrate the continued cross-platform strategy employed by major publishers, with substantial reveals appearing across multiple gaming events rather than being confined to platform-specific showcases. The Nintendo Direct’s inclusion of PS5-focused announcements underscored the interconnected nature of modern gaming industry events.
