Classic Action RPG Tales of Eternia Is the Series’ Next Remaster, Enhanced on PS5
Bandai Namco has announced Tales of Eternia Remastered, bringing the classic action RPG to PlayStation 5 and PS4 on October 16th. Originally released on PlayStation 1 in 2000 and later ported to PSP in 2005, this marks the first non-3D Tales title to receive a full remaster treatment.
The remaster introduces several quality-of-life enhancements to modernize the retro experience for contemporary players. These features include destination markers for improved navigation, an enemy encounter toggle that lets players control combat frequency, and a high-speed combat mode. Players will also be able to seamlessly switch between the original graphics and enhanced visuals, allowing them to experience the game either as it was originally designed or in its modernized form.
Tales of Eternia Remastered joins Bandai Namco’s ongoing initiative to revisit and revitalize classic entries from its long-running Tales series. The announcement follows a leak that occurred several weeks before the official reveal.
