All 26 new catalysts in Destiny 2’s final update
Destiny 2’s final update has arrived, marking the end of an era for Bungie’s long-running live-service shooter. The update introduces substantial content including 26 new catalysts for Exotic weapons that previously lacked upgrade paths, ensuring every Exotic gun now has a catalyst available. Additionally, nine existing catalysts have been updated, providing improvements across the board.
Beyond catalysts, the update introduces the new Distortions event system designed to revitalize destination-based gameplay. This event features a range of new weapons available for farming, with attunement support for most activities. Players can access the Distortions quest through Lodi in the Tower, starting with the completion of public events followed by the Distorted event.
The update also brings new Monuments of Triumph challenges, including the enthusiastically-named GOOOAAAALLL!!! challenge, which tasks players with scoring a goal in a hidden net located in the Tower Hangar. A new Exotic mission is also included, offering additional endgame content.
