IEM Cologne 2026 Major Stage 3 Preview: Opening Matches and Pick’Ems Predictions
The IEM Cologne 2026 Major Counter-Strike tournament is entering Stage 3, which began on June 11 at the Cologne Palladium. The stage marks a pivotal moment as Stage 2 concluded with Monte, Legacy, and B8 securing advancement, joining previously qualified teams 9z, BetBoom, G2, FUT, and Spirit. The 16-team field is now complete and ready to compete for spots in the playoffs.
A major distinction of Stage 3 is that it represents the first phase with live spectators, with 4,000 fans expected to fill the Cologne Palladium. This introduces a new dynamic, as teams will perform in front of a full crowd rather than in the remote environments of earlier stages. The increased pressure and atmosphere will test teams’ ability to adapt and maintain performance.
Opening matches feature competitive international and regional matchups, including Natus Vincere versus Spirit, Vitality versus FUT, and multiple other contests. The results of Stage 3 will determine which teams advance to the playoffs and vie for championship contention at one of Counter-Strike’s most prestigious international tournaments.
