Your dad’s favorite TV show might become a videogame
Taylor Sheridan’s “Sheridanverse” is expanding beyond television and film into the video game industry. Paramount Games Studio, a newly formed division of Paramount, has announced its first video game based on the wildly popular western drama series Yellowstone, which has already spawned multiple successful spinoff series. The announcement was made by Shawn Kittelsen, head of creative and production at Paramount Games Studio, signaling the publisher’s commitment to developing original interactive experiences from its existing media properties. This expansion reflects Sheridan’s broader multimedia strategy, which has extended to film as well—he is currently writing the upcoming Call of Duty movie set to be directed by Peter Berg and star Mark Wahlberg. The move represents a growing industry trend of adapting established television franchises into gaming experiences to reach new audiences, engage existing fans across different mediums, and extend the commercial lifespan of proven intellectual property across multiple entertainment platforms.
