Chained Echoes Is Finally Getting Its Physical Release, After Last Attempt Ended In A Lawsuit

After a contentious two-year dispute, Chained Echoes is finally getting its physical release. Developer Matthias Linda had filed a lawsuit against original distributor First Press Games earlier this year, citing broken promises regarding the physical edition launch. That conflict has now been resolved through a new partnership.

Super Rare Games has taken over distribution duties for the physical release. Pre-orders will open on June 18th at 6pm BST (10am PT / 1am ET), with shipment planned for September. The publisher has indicated strong anticipated demand, marketing this as a limited pre-order release.

Both Standard and Deluxe editions are available. Each includes the base game and the ‘Ashes of Elrant’ DLC. The Deluxe Edition adds a hardback A5 artbook alongside the standard contents.

The resolution marks an end to the protracted licensing dispute that delayed the physical release far beyond original timelines, allowing fans to finally acquire a physical copy of the indie title.
