Dragon’s Dogma 2 hands out an infinite fast travel item after people wouldn’t stop moaning about how laborious it was to go anywhere

Dragon’s Dogma 2 has received a substantial patch addressing one of the game’s most criticized features: tedious fast travel mechanics. Released on June 10, the update introduces an infinite fast travel item—the Eternal Ferrystone—responding to widespread player complaints about the laborious nature of traversing the game’s world.

The patch represents the first of two major updates planned for the sequel to the cult RPG. Beyond fast travel improvements, the June update includes adjustments to pawn mechanics and various bug fixes. A second patch is scheduled for late August, which will bring even more significant changes, including additional weapon skill slots that are expected to impact gameplay substantially.

Dragon’s Dogma 2’s fast travel issues had been a notable pain point since the game’s launch two years ago. The introduction of the Eternal Ferrystone appears to be Capcom’s direct response to player feedback, allowing for more convenient exploration without the previous constraints.

Looking ahead, the game has further content planned. An expansion titled Dark Arisen is scheduled to release in October, suggesting Capcom’s continued commitment to supporting Dragon’s Dogma 2 well into its third year of availability. These updates underscore the publisher’s effort to maintain player engagement and address quality-of-life concerns in the action RPG.
