Donkey Kong Country-Inspired Platformer Leaps Onto Switch With A Free Demo

Marsupilami 2 - Salsa Palombia, a Donkey Kong Country-inspired 2.5D platformer, launches on Nintendo Switch on September 3rd. Developed by Ocellus Services and published by Microids, the game is based on the classic Belgian comic book series by André Franquin.

The sequel introduces three distinct playable characters, each with unique playstyles and abilities, and features two-player cooperative gameplay. Players will traverse four diverse worlds brimming with platforming challenges, secrets, and obstacles before facing off against the villain responsible for hypnotising the jungle inhabitants. The game draws clear inspiration from the Donkey Kong Country series, particularly Returns, while establishing its own identity with fresh mechanics and design.

A free demo is now live on the Nintendo eShop, giving potential players the opportunity to experience the gameplay firsthand before committing to the full purchase. This demo allows fans to sample the platforming action, get a feel for the three characters, and determine if Marsupilami 2 captures the spirit and challenge that Donkey Kong Country enthusiasts cherish.
