Feature: 20 Under the Radar PS5 Games Still to Come in 2026
PlayStation 5 players have plenty of high-profile releases to anticipate in late 2026, but Push Square is highlighting 20 lesser-known games that deserve attention during the latter half of the year. While major AAA titles dominate gaming schedules, particularly in September and October, a number of smaller indie and mid-tier games are slated for PS5 release that have flown under mainstream radar.
Among the highlighted titles is Deer & Boy, an adventure game following a runaway child who befriends a young fawn. The game is designed to play like an “animated film,” with the narrative arc showing the fawn grow from a small animal into a larger, stronger deer as the adventure progresses. The game’s premise and artistic presentation suggest an emotionally-driven experience focused on the relationship between the two protagonists.
The feature aims to guide players through the diverse catalog of upcoming PS5 games that offer alternatives to blockbuster releases, showcasing the platform’s depth across independent and smaller studio productions.
