‘Nothing Is Impossible’ - Stellar Blade Developer Responds To Demand For An Xbox Port
Following the announcement of the original Stellar Blade for Switch 2 at this week’s Nintendo Direct, Xbox players have been vocal about wanting a port to their platform. The omission stood out particularly because developer and publisher SHIFT UP Corporation had just announced a sequel, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, at PlayStation’s State of Play event with hints that it could be a multiplatform release.
The contrast between the sequel’s apparent multiplatform ambitions and the original game’s Switch 2-exclusive positioning sparked an influx of requests from Xbox fans. In response, a SHIFT UP Corporation representative—identified as the company’s “main publishing guy”—addressed the demand on social media with an encouraging hint. The executive suggested that “nothing is impossible” regarding an Xbox port and that they “just need time,” indicating the possibility is being considered even if it requires additional development resources.
The original Stellar Blade launched successfully on PlayStation 5 and PC, establishing itself as a popular action title. An eventual expansion to Xbox would follow the game’s growing success and the developer’s apparent willingness to explore broader platform support, particularly as the franchise prepares to expand with its sequel.
